It is hard to believe that we are here at the end of “The Do’s Series.”

The first version of Segment 1, entitled “LoveJoy KickStart & The Macaroni Band,” is dated March 2, 2016. That first segment posted to the Internet on March 6, 2016. At that time, it was the first and only segment of “The Do’s Series.” No other segment had been composed or even conceived.

The last segment of “The Do’s Series,” entitled “Epilogue: Under The Stars,” will post tomorrow morning, December 17, 2016.

The interval — from first segment drafted to last segment posted — is nine (9) months and fifteen (15) days.

Nine and a half months.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Internet, that is how long it has taken to create from nothing on the worldwide web “The Do’s Series” netnovel.

I believe that this is the first time that a novel has been conceived, written and posted by segment on the worldwide web without the next segment existing. There was never an overarching outline. The last segment proceeded to its finish before the next segment was drafted. Each segment was imagined at the time of its creation after the prior segment had been posted. And, each new segment appeared for the first time only on this website within the viewing environment of the worldwide web.

As such, I believe that you, the readers, have been witness to the first webwork netnovel to have come into its existence entirely on, and as a part of, the Internet.

I am not aware that this has ever happened before.

It is exciting to be here finally at the start of “The Do’s Series.”
